  ALLEGIANT -- CHAPTER 30: TRIS
CHAPTER 30: TRIS
Tris, Cara, and Christina are in Uriah’s room. Tris and Cara and discuss his prognosis. He’s in stable condition but in a coma. Things are not looking good for him.

Cara compliments Tris for what she did. Tris admits that her actions were not meant to help the Bureau, but to keep the dangerous death serum locked away.

During their conversation, Cara notes that Tris seems to know secrets about the Bureau. Christina easily persuades Tris to reveal what she knows. Tris decides to show Cara the storage room.

As they walk, Cara opens up to Tris. Cara feels like a pawn, like a fool, for joining the Allegiants in their plight. Everything has been a sham. Tris points out that her efforts are what helped her attain true freedom and it is what allowed her to see the truth beyond the city.

They soon come to the lab. There, Matthew opens the door for them and allows them to go to the storage room.
