CHAPTER 4: TOBIAS
Tobias is meeting with his mother in Jeanine’s old office. She’s there to discuss the fact that it was Tobias that played the secret video to everybody. Evelyn is the only person who knows this fact. Tobias says that he only played it because he believed Tris when she told him that the Erudite were hiding an important Abnegation secret. Tobias tells her that he believes they’re safer within the fence.
Evelyn then tells Tobias about people who are getting together with the aim of leaving the safety of the city. She labels them rebels, while they label themselves “Allegiants.” She wants to put a stop to their rebellious cause with Tobias’ help. Tobias agrees to find out who the Allegiants are.
