The Gladers all make their way towards the Grievers protecting the Cliff. Minho and Newt lead them. The Gladers are told to push the Grievers to the sides so that Thomas and Teresa can make it through the Griever Hole.

As the fighting begins, Chuck finds his friend, Thomas. Thomas remembers his promise to Chuck and he tells Chuck to stay with him and Teresa. Chuck is going through the Griever Hole with them.

The trio runs towards the edge of the Cliff. All around them an epic battle ensues. Gladers sacrifice themselves to make space for the trio to run to the Griever Hole. They don’t get away unscathed; Grievers cut at them. Finally, they make it to the Cliff.

Earlier, before their massive move, Minho was smart enough to work with his Runners to clearly mark the entrance of the Griever Hole with vines. The vines slid from the Cliff’s edge straight into the Hole. Thomas, Teresa, and Chuck knew where they had to go.

Thomas insists that Teresa and Chuck go into the Hole first. Teresa jumps in first, then Thomas helps Chuck leap through, and lastly he leaps through.
