Thomas runs to the remains of the Map Room. There, he finds other boys all huddled around Newt. Newt is holding an injured Alby.
Minho explains how somebody gashed Alby’s head, knocking him out, just before they set fire to the Map Room. The trunks are all destroyed. They assume that it was Gally who did it.
Thomas, then, tells Minho and Newt how Teresa might know something about the Maze. He convinces them to let Teresa out of the Slammer. When they release her, Thomas reveals how she figured out that the Maze might be revealing some kind of code to them. Thomas asks if they can remember what they had on any of the maps.
Minho, then, reveals a shocker. The maps weren’t destroyed after all. Sensing that perhaps the maps would be danger, the boys hid the maps in the Weapons Room.
