The Gathering continues. Thomas comes up with another shocker: he and Teresa helped to make the Maze. They were chosen, forced to help, because they have telepathy. The boys listening are shocked.

Thomas tries to reassure the boys that he and Teresa are not the bad guys. Even though his revelations might make it easy for them to blame him and Teresa for their circumstances, they must realize that they are just as screwed as the others. They’re just as trapped, but for whatever reason they might be able to hold the solution to freeing them from the hold of the Maze.

Newt backs up Thomas and states that the Creators are the bad guys, not Thomas and Teresa. Minho, then, asks that Thomas tell them how they get out of the Glades.

Just as they hypothesized, the way out is through the Griever Hole. They must jump off the Cliff, into the invisible, holographic hole in the sky. Thomas describes how there’s a computer station in the hole that they can use to open up a legitimate exit. Unfortunately, when they jump into the place all of the Grievers will come chase them.
