Thomas runs to aid the Runner. As he gets to him, Thomas shouts out for help. The Runner, Minho, converse briefly before Alby gets there. Minho demands water from Alby. Alby warns Thomas that only Minho can treat him so poorly. The two boys seem to have a good relationship.

Alby runs off and Minho points out that Alby isn’t as tough as he seems. Thomas tries to get some answers from Minho. Minho doesn’t see Alby as the leader and it leaves Thomas confused. Minho lets Thomas know that he was one of the first people at the Glades. Minho must have some seniority over the others.

Thomas is curious as to why Minho is so out of breath. Minho decides to wait until Alby comes back before he spills the beans about what happened in the Maze today. When Alby returns Minho excitedly tells them that he found a dead Griever.
