The next morning, the sky looks eerily different than normal. It’s a gray color. The weirdness of the sky has disrupted all of the normal morning routines. Everybody is just standing around trying to figure the weirdness of the change out. The sun seems to be gone or fading.

Chuck finds Thomas. Chuck theorizes that they’re looking up at a ceiling. Thomas figures that whatever “sun” they were accustomed to seeing wasn’t the sun at all. Thomas explains to Chuck that maybe something that the Creator’s do to create the artificial sun broke.

Surprisingly, the Runners are still going out to the Maze. Minho finds Thomas and they head off. They need to find an exit now more than ever.

Minho and Thomas barely get into the Maze when they see a Griever. It’s not moving, leaving the two confused. They carefully spy on it from a distance.

Eventually, when they take another sneaky glance at it, the two notice that the Griever is gone. The two dart in the direction where it must have gone. They’re able to chase it to the Cliff. Once it’s at the Cliff, it just jumps off of it and disappears.
