At the Capulet house preparations are being made for the wedding. Juliet comes back from her “confession” and she looks rather happy. She tells her father that she has repented from her sin of disobedience--that is, she has learned from her mistake of disobeying her father. The holy Friar Lawrence has helped her see the right light. She asks her dad for forgiveness and she says she will obey him from this point forward.

Ecstatic, Capulet wants to rush the marriage and get it done with tomorrow. Lady Capulet isn’t sure about rushing things, but Capulet says it will be okay.
