This very short scene only contains one character, Artemidorus. Somehow, Artemidorus has learned of the secret plot to kill Caesar. He has written a letter to Caesar which names the conspirators. He tells Caesar in the letter to be wary of these men and their intentions. He states that he will give the letter to Caesar as he walks to the Senate today. Artemidorus knows that if he reads the letter, then Caesar has a chance to escape death.
